“Travel specialist MERIAN  and water specialist Hansgrohe joined to call for entries for a photography competition. The occasion was a special company anniversary: 111 years of Hansgrohe. The organizers were looking for places on the water: momentary images that capture the magic and fascination of this element.

The winning photos are followed by 100 other magical water locations which were selected by Merians’s editorial team: places in Germany, Europe and all over the world. There are places whose scenery alone lends them a sense of enchantment – but also places whose magic is only revealed once we learn the stories behind them.”
