“Mary Kinsella was born and brought up on a County Wexford farm. Her first cookery lessons were at the kitchen table where she measured and recorded the many recipes her mother had learned orally. Inspired to carry on the tradition, she studied cooking in Dublin, London and Paris, and later became a teacher of cooking in Ireland, where she now lives.
