Contemporary Arab Art Selections

“The participation of a selected group of Arab painters in the Frankfurt International Book Fair aims at stressing the deep-rooted mixture of Arab peoples, who have been bound together with historical, linguistic, geographical and religious ties; peoples who are the offspring of a civilization that weaved the story of humanity since olden times and up to the present. The ‘image’ for these peoples has been the intial tool for communication and expression among human-beings.

This exhibit presented by a number of creative artists in the Arab world is a window through which light is shed on the ‘scene’ which we and the ‘other’, anywhere in the globe, covet to see; regardless of points of agreement or of difference.”
