“Havana, for how long?

When I saw Claudio Edinger’s photos of Habana Vieja for the first time, I knew that after many years I was looking at something truly unique about Cuba.
It was as If suddenly the rooms, stairways, cars, windows came alive and it was possible to feel very powerfully what is happening on this island with its singular political trajectory. Its culture, habits, its means of undertaking things, the necessary inventions, the sensuality, the hope, the pride; all this has been depicted in a masterly fashion by Claudio Edinger.

This book, with its orange color, like the warmth of the Caribbean, besides being photographically impressive, shows us a situation of extremes. It captures a unique moment in our century, an intimate portrait of the last socialist country in the Occident. To publish it is an obligation.
To have an introduction by Cabrera Infante is an honor.
